Consultant ophthalmologist specialising in bespoke cataract surgery and conditions affecting the surface of the eye
I am a consultant ophthalmologist in Norwich with a specific interest in cataract and disorders of the cornea and ocular surface including dry eyes..
I graduated from the University of Leeds with Honours degrees in Pharmacology and Medicine and after gaining experience in a wide range of medical specialties in Yorkshire, London and Australia I specialised in ophthalmology.
My ophthalmology training was undertaken in Worcestershire and Yorkshire during which time I completed the training programme of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. I gained specialist recognition in 2011 before moving to Perth, Australia to undertake a year-long fellowship in anterior segment surgery at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital under Professor Graham Barrett. On returning to the UK I completed a further year of fellowship in cornea and external eye disorders at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
I took up my consultant post in 2014 at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and have a varied ophthalmic practice caring for patients with cataract, corneal and ocular surface problems, medical retina conditions and glaucoma. I am currently College Tutor for ophthalmology at NNUH and am heavily involved in teaching and training the ophthalmologists of the future.
All services are provided via Norfolk Newmedica Ltd.
